GRYPHON is a brush cutter and lawn mower designed for professional vegetation cutting near guardrails, road barriers, and vertical obstacles. Thanks to its two completely independent cutting units, it can operate without interruption while passing guardrail supports, road signs, boundary posts, and trees.
This machine was designed with a particular focus on compactness and maneuverability, offering a viable alternative to traditional straddle loaders and ensuring high productivity even in tight spaces, emergency lanes, and state-of-the-art road infrastructure.
The main feature of GRYPHON is the presence of two separate and independent mowing units. The first unit operates on the roadside and features an automatic obstacle-avoidance system that acts on both the disc-carrying arm and the traverse arm, allowing the disc to follow the contour of the obstacle without interrupting the mowing.
The second mowing unit is positioned behind the first and operates beyond the guardrail. It is also equipped with an automatic system for moving the guardrail supports out of the way and can be retracted to its resting position when encountering vertical obstacles of considerable height.
The complete independence between the two units allows the front unit to continue working smoothly and continuously even when the rear unit is retracted or moved to clear particularly bulky obstacles.
Both units are equipped with systems for adjusting the distance from the carrier vehicle, allowing for reduced lateral dimensions and enabling the operating configuration to be adapted to different working conditions, thereby improving safety and convenience on emergency lanes and on sections with narrow roadways.
The operator can choose directly from the cab whether to use only the front unit, only the rear unit, or both at the same time, adapting the machine to the specific operational needs of the job site.
